Dear All

I need to set up email aliases for another domain name on the VPS box (to forward email to different email addresses) and may as well run a site for the domain. Any idea, any one, how i go about setting up aliases in PostFix? Does Exim handle this sort of thing better?

Cheers

Or is their a better solution? I want to see what files have been called on the server. I have a local flash application that pulls in mp3 files via an xml file held on the server and it is this activity I want to track.

I got "Welcome to NGINX" initially, which felt great, but after Symlink creation, and trying to reference my VPS's IP I'm not seeing any site and I'm getting an error.

Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to 173.255.x.x
Unable to connect
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at 173.255.x.x

Has anyone experienced this?
I don't quite understand what the symlink does here to help.
I'd really like to punch through the tutorial for learning purposes and set up one site.
Thanks Guv and all others.

Guv, Being a noob, I'm curious why you choose the directory structures:

/usr/local/nginx, and
/home/USERNAME/public_html/ for the CMS's.

At least in the Drupal community, most folks seem to be using:
/etc/nginx, and
/var/www/Drupal/sites

I know you've got a good reason and I'm probably being dense for asking. But, I could use another "flat forehead moment" of enlightenment!

Thanks

Just wondering what system you are using now and is it still wordpress based?

I'm thinking of adding a small forum system to one of my wordpress sites so I would love here some recommendations.

Olly,

For some reason my nginx is not starting automatically after I do a boot on server.

Also I found that the n2r command only stop the server but it doesn't start. After
I manually start the server by typing sudo /etc.... nginx starts and even n2r command works afterward.

Any idea ?

Hi. Welcome. And a warm one at that.

Let's face it, as of writing - and this is the first non-test post - these forums are pretty skeletal.

Then again, hopefully they provide the framework for an active community where we are all seeking the same thing:-

A damn cute, seriously secure virtual private server.

These boards will take a while to fill out and become a "save-to-fave" essential but, then again, you should find them a great place to leave a query and get a response.

You don't need to subscribe to the VPS Bible itself to enjoy them .. as much as I'd like you to :P

They are open to all, all are welcome, and I hope all gain a benefit.

Thassit. Enjoy.
