hey Buggy .. let me know in the requests section any Apache tuts you want.

this site is very Nginx heavy .. frankly because it's a better performer for the average VPS user.

then again, I want to diversify for other web servers (and OSes, especially CentOS) and obviously Apache must be one of those.

Well, Apache seems to be more supported and easier to get answers.

I solved the problem by uninstalling eAccelerator. I went ahead and installed XCache. Faster and better :)

to be honest buggy, I don't use EasyApache, or even Apache any more than I have to, so am probably not the best person to ask

there's a great guide here for using Nginx though :P

any particular reason you want to use Apache?

I deleted the files in /tmp/eaccelerator and restarted Apache (CentOS) using the command:
/sbin/service httpd restart

But it still displays an internal server 500 error when I visit a specific PHP page. The error on the post above is the error it says in my cPanel error log.

hey Buggy .. just delete the files in /tmp/eaccelerator to clear the cache.

more useful tho maybe .. what do your error logs say?

I used EasyApache to upgrade Apache and installed some PHP extensions. When I access my website, it says this:
[Wed Mar 10 22:02:59 2010] [error] [client ip] ] [notice] EACCELERATOR(30579): PHP crashed on opline 37 of main() at /home/user/public_html/plug.php:1598309715, referer: http://www.domain.com/index.php

How do I fix this internal server error 500? Do I clear the eAccelerator cache? How do I do that?
