Adding a new domain to postfix mail server
-
Hi,
I am a Linux newbie. While I following the tutorial on this site, i.e. Prepare Linux Server for Email with Postfix, I am wondering is there any tutorial that I can add another new domain to postfix mail server? In the above mentioned tutorial, it only provides tip on how to change the existing "Current Reverse DNS" to one domain.
In fact, I have added two domain zone as Master under my DNS Manager in my Linode. I would like to create RDNS for another domain I added on my Linode Manager.
By the way, do I need to buy extra additional IP address in order to add a new domain to postfix mail server?
Please help to provide some guidance on this matter. And many thanks.

hey Kenny, Welcome.
You can follow the same Google Apps procedure to add catch-all email for whatever domains, irrespective of the RDNS. So you need only one RDNS record for all domains and the actual record is irrelevant to the practicalities of you email.
so provided you follow GA's verification procedure, with the Nginx-VPS guide as it stands you can have, f'rinstance:-
anyoldemail@domain1.com;
asmanyasyoulikeagain@anotehrdomain.tld;
etc infinitumand no, all resolve via your VPS' primary IP.
try it!
(I'd recommend you set up GA with IMAP, then setup Outlook, Thunderbird, whatever to catch-all your emails to the client .. can be fiddly to setup, honestly but, once done, it works a treat.)
