Advice on managing mail server

MemberBefore anyone says, "Google Apps" I refuse to use it. Privacy reasons.
I am using dovecot+mysql+postfix for email on virtual domains. My question is: best way to manage email NOT using command line (which I am ok doing, but I also have a life hah)?
Advice/cookies/suggestions to rot are welcome ;)

people swear by roundcube .. (sometimes maybe because they never tried anything else?)

EDIT: .. during your research you should pay especial attention to spam filtering adn how easy what solutions would be to set up .. spamassassin etc .. (they can be fiddly and time-consuming, which is the downside to independent webmail, although I appreciate your privacy concern very much)
