MemberHello, I am studying, reading, looking at the index of tutorials for putting up a vps. I want to hook up a drupal multi site hosting panel called Aegir, I want to use installers of Aegix that works with nginx called Octopus and Barracuda installers. looking at the install page;
https://github.com/omega8cc/nginx-for-drupal/blob/master/docs/INSTALL.txt
it says
"Don't run both installers via sudo. You must be logged in as root. Or sudo -i first."So my question is: where on the index of your steps would install this? Didnt you do something to the root user to deactivate it or something? clarification on this would be a tremendous help. thanks

Run through the bible sequentially.
By the time you get to the CMS stage your other question is answered in the docs but basically to assume root:-
sudo -i[do stuff, then exit root]
