I am looking to use Foxy Proxy on firefox. I would like to have my own set of proxy addresses, not the ones that our public. How do I set something like that up on my VPS?

Hi Namon,

There's a guide on this site to use your VPS for proxying - and it's dead simple to do for anyone with a VPS - so run a search for SOCKS!

One tip: Foxy Proxy is way more complex than most of us need .. check out the FireFox addon "ProxySwitch".

I've got plans to expand this site with a range of proxy guides, for example for folks wanting to build an elite proxy server for themselves and their communities .. something I feel quite passionate about in an era of ever-diminishing privacy online.

.. Grab a feed for updates about that and, if you have a specific tutorial request, please make a claim to that.

(Proxying is one of the key benefits for VPS users. You're darn right to be interested.)
