guv,
tried deleting/ creating a new db in putty but ran across a syntax error related to my version of mysql. I'm running a centos5.4 w/ apache 2.2.3 and mysql 5.0.77

ok, I was finally able to create the mysql login via webmin but I'm still getting a blank page on my D7 install.php, so I guess that wasn't my problem afterall.....one issue fixed, any suggestions?

do you know if drupal 7 is dependent upon a higher version of mysql? version 5.0.77 works fine with my drupal 6.16 installation and since I get a blank scream at install.php I just don't know....reading documentation now so maybe I'll stumble upon my answer? let you know if I do...

Drupal requires:
- a web server, Apache (version 2.0 or greater) is recommended,
- PHP 5 (5.2.0 or greater),
- and either MySQL (5.0.15 or greater)...so I guess I have the wrong version of php....will fix that and let you know- sorry for the panic

ok...updated php to v5.3.2 and still nothing....can't see the update in any systems but confirmed it through putty and virtualmin so now it's back to the docs I guess...anyone have any suggestions?
