no DNS server
-
my VPS provider doesn't have a DNS manager or DNS server
now what?

your domain registrar may offer it for free... otherwise you can also use dedicated dns provider like zoneedit, dyndns, dnsmadeeasy, or zerigo....
I use DnsMadeEasy ($15/year), so everytime I change host, i dont have to bother modifying at the host level again... :)
