Postfix - just WONT SEND!!!! AAAHH

Can you tell I've been working on this all day and feeling a bit nutty :)
Lol ok here goes.
I'm running bluemilecloud VPS Ubuntu 8.04 LTS
Looks like I'm setting up all good, but however there are some things I feel could be causing the issue. I'm a semi n00b so please bear with :p
1. I changed the Rdns and assigned dns in the host panel. I actually think this may have beeen an issue: Check this out:
ns1.maksimize.com
and ns2.maksimize.com are pointed to the ns servers for bluemilecloudand maksimize.com
and http://www.maksimize.com are pointed to my servers IP2. After assigning the proper hostname - mail.maksimize.com to the vps in the hosting panel, /etc/hostname displays the proper hostname
3. BUT I notice that in the Guv's tut, mail.waywiderweb.com is pointed to 127.0.1.1
However in mine it looks like this
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost # Auto-generated hostname. Please do not remove this comment. 76.10.212.70 mail.maksimize.com mail mail4. this is what my dig answer section looks like:
;; ANSWER SECTION: 70.212.10.76.in-addr.arpa. 3600 IN PTR mail.maksimize.com.5. ok this is probably the most confusing. my /etc/aliases looks nothing like the guv's
check this out# # Mail aliases for sendmail # # You must run newaliases(1) after making changes to this file. # # Required aliases postmaster: root MAILER-DAEMON: postmaster # Common aliases abuse: postmaster spam: postmaster # Other aliases root: siberianx37I added root: siberianx37 at the end, but not sure if that's right.
6. Finally is myorigin supposed to be $mydomain or do I actually put in maksimize.com?
Thank you everyone sooo much in advance
