Server being used to send spam

Got a bit of an issue. AOL have sent my host an email that has originated from my VPS, and they have said the machine is being used to send bulk spam emails out.
This was pretty shocking news to me, as I believe I had everything locked down as much as possible and I only use Google Apps for my domain email.
They said it originated from the machine, rather than a script...........is there a way to hunt this down and find out how to stop this?

have you got any headers Ben? ask your host for examples, they ought to help you with that info, at least.
