Sub domains throwing nginx startup errors
-
I've added a couple of subdomains to nginx using the VPSbible tutorial.
test.mydomain.com
supper.mydomain.comWhen i restart nginx I get this message...
Starting nginx: [warn]: conflicting server name "supper.mydomain.com." on 0.0.0.0:80, ignored
I've missed something simple somewhere I know. The server is a bare install Ubuntu 10.4 set up using the stackscript. had a poke around the interwebs but not found a conclusive resolution.....yes...it's still a bit broken....
Thx

sounds like a vhost conflict, Jeremy .. easiest way to find out may be to try a process of trial and error to pinpoint a vhost with a syntax issue.
did you follow the sub-domain tutorial in the Admin section?
what are you using for DNS? you'd best check those settings too.
