Ubuntu Stackscript worked but..
-
Hello Guvnr,
The Ubuntu stackscrip worked on my Fivebean 12$ vps. Only thing is that I only have 384 megs of ram. And after the install I noticed mysql is consuming quite a big chunk of it. In htop there are 11 mysql processes running. Is there a way to decrease that? I looked in the my.cnf file but couldn't figure out which setting could possibly change it.
Any ideas? Thanks.Posted 1 year ago # -
Hello Guvnr,
I was able to install nginx and all the other software with the ubuntu stackscript guide and then was able to successfully install drupal with the drupal guide. Drupal itself doesn't take much ram which is good. Right now I am using about 210 mb out of the 384 available on my fivebean vps. I may just leave it like that but if I can optimize further it would be great. So thanks for the guides they were really helpful.
One last thing, I recently took a linux class where we did a little bit of scripting and I may look into adding or automating the drupal part into the stack script. That seems like a good idea to me. :)

Saved 100 mb of ram by disabling the InnoDB database engine and leaving just MyISAM. So maybe this is a good option to go with.
