… to enhance support.

Comments are nice, but they're also pretty random and, when you're skimming through looking for useful tips or the answer to a specific problem, that's an issue.

My idea is that, instead of commenting, the vpsBible community – that's you buster! – make comments here in the forums … whether asking questions, helping others or generally saying how darn cool this site is.

This is doubly important, it seems to me, with there being a forum as well as the (disabled) option of comments. Because to skim through both systems would just be a time-waster.

So. There will be a new forum created for each topic on the site, with sub-forums as appropriate.

If you've got a question about a specific niche, please start a new thread in the relevant forum, else tag onto a relevant conversation. Given time, I reckon this will help to populate the knowledge-base handsomely and in a way that makes it easy to find answers fast.

I have to say though – and seeing as this is my first forum too – that this is a bit of an experiment.

Let me know what you think.

Got a Question? Want to Comment?

This site has no comments system. We've got a better system!

Please use the link at the top of the post and goto this topic's forum thread:-

  • to help build community
  • for a superior knowledge base
  • to keep info in one place, not diluted between forum & comments.

For those posts ported from Guvnr.com (pre-Feb/2010), archive comments remain.

Handy info from these comments is in the process of being ported to the forum and attributed to the original author.

If you think this idea sucks, let me know.

Thank you.
